Great things to learn! I miss the beach too!

Great list! Andrew rarely cries in the car but I will sing too if needed. It makes me smile when singing a Jesus song calms him!

What a wonderful list, especially #10 :)

Isn't it nice that singing will get your little one to stop crying? Mine used to stop for it, too. Now I'm just waiting for the day when she asks me to stop singing because it's embarrassing her.

Such a positive list, even with a few things that you seem to miss. Life can be really good, can't it? :-)

Hope the day is going well and November is being kind so far. ;-)

I've never really traveled and I MISS it - LOL. Really, after sending ds-14 to Africa this past summer, I am so ready to travel.

Those are some great lessons! While I try to be thankful year round, I am glad when November comes along and gives me constant reminders to be grateful for what I have been given!

Nice list. I wonder what did I learn this week. My continuous lesson is nothing is within my control and that everything is in God's power.

Those are some good lessons:-)

Great list. And I totally agree that I am not grateful for all my blessings. Need to think of them when times are rough.

True friends are hard to come by, especially later in life. We just moved across the country in March. I love it here so far but wish I could meet some great women to connect with locally.

The song thing is SO true! When my oldest B used to wake up in the middle of the night or was sick or just wouldn't stop crying I would hold him in my arms and sing "Hush little baby". If I stopped singing he would start crying again. Funny thing is it also worked like a charm on the two 1 year old boys I have nannyed for in the past. Something about the singing voice calms them down in an amazing way.

What great lessons you've learned! It's good to stop and realize all we're grateful for. It's way too easy for us to get caught up in the craziness of the world and forget all that He has done for us.

It's so true that friends are harder to make as we get older but when you do make them it's amazing and they'll stay around forever. I have been fortunate to find a few without looking.

Thanks so much for sharing in my SITS day last week!

I agree with #4. I do a "What I Learned This Week" post every Friday usually, unless I move it to Saturday, but never knew there was a Mr. Linky for it. I link it to Mrs 4444 Friday Fragment post.

That is a great list. I have really been trying to be more grateful for what I have. I think that's the biggest thing I've learned this year.
