Today is Music Monday at my friend Tara's.You must go visit her atKeepingupwiththKellys! and play along with us! I chose the song 'Overcome' today! It is a very powerful song that we sang for the first time with The Praise and Worship Team at our church(I have never sung with any group, choir or anyone ever before in my life)Just had to let you know because it is still so surreal to me. Okay, back to the song! While we were singing I had a vision of my son in his jail blues sitting on his bunk.He hasn't felt the sun on his face in over a year!He doesn't get to go outside!I started to cry.I know that we will Overcome this trial with God's help and that he will become the man that god is intending him to be! I then looked out at the sea of people in the congregation and thought about how everyone there is probably going throught some kind of painful situation or knows someone who is. I then realized that none of us are immune to this in our lives, but that with God we can OverCome and make it out on the other side! It doesn't mean it won't be painful and we will be unscathed just that with his help and his strength we will make it and find joy again in our lives. I hope this song reaches into your heart and lets you know or reminds you how much God(the one that created us all) loves you!!That no matter what your going through call on him and he will be with you thorugh all of it!Love you all!!
For my Running Peeps~~ Running thought for Today: Everything changed the day I understood that if I was to become a RUNNER,I would have to run with the body I had!!~John Bingham~'The courage to Start' Before you listen you will need to pause my music up by the top of my blog!
Stopped by via SITS. I am so intrigued by your running. I have such a hard time fitting a workout into my schedule! Looking forward to reading more of your blogs. :)
I've never heard that one either. The story behind it and thinking of your son just touched my heart. I am sure that song touched every person in earshot because we are all going through some thing. Thank you for joining in but thank you for being a good blog friend and for what you stand for in life.
I use to be a great runner pre kids.actually ran in college! now I trymy best to get in atleast two miles a day.Anywho Im visiting from SITS glad I found you! dropby sometime www.MRSOFFICER2U.blogspot.com I would love to have you
I know GOD brought me here for a reason. I use to run (when I was young). I need to get back to a better physical fitness. I may never be able to run very far....but I need to be walking and doing lots of it. Thank you for the beautiful song and the encouragement through your own actions.
Beautiful song. My son got a DUI at the age of 19, struggled with alcohol & prescription drugs. I knew I couldn't change him, but God could. So I prayed & prayed. He is now doing much better, going to school full time, working part time and off of the prescription drugs (still drinks sometimes, unfortunately) but he has come a long way.
I know how hard it is to see our children struggle, but just knowing that the Lord can work miracles will hopefully bring you some comfort.
Great Song. Thanks for stopping by, following and leaving a comment. I am following you now too. You should check out my site on Thursday's where I host "Things Kids Say"... They are too funny, and maybe you could join in the fun too!
Hi. My name is Olga. I am a Christian ,wife married to, we'll have to call him Big Chucky.I am also Mommy to 2 year old twins, Lil' Chucky and Maggie Pie.I am also Mom to Belle,Jill and Jason who are all in their early 20's.Oh and I can't forget about my Husky named Balto. He is the best dog on the planet!
Before my twins were born I worked for a major airline.I decided to take an early retirement to be able to stay home with them.
I started this blog as a way to share my passion about my Lord and
Savior,my twins, and running thus TwinspirationalRunner was born!
So many things have happened in the year that my twins came into this world.I will be writing and sharing about this sometimes. It will be painful for me but I plan on keeping it real and sprinkled with humor because that is how I've always gotten thru life.
I am fully reliant on God and I hope you will be inspired, motivated, moved and maybe even laugh a little, okay Alot!
Most of all I hope you will come to see how my ordinary life is being transformed into a beautiful work of God that is still in progress!God's love is Always All ways!

I enjoyed the music clip. I will never be a runner due to my granny knees. (And laziness.)

Hey there Olga (again! I didn't have an email to reply to your comment over at my place)
Like I was saying.....our youth band at church plays it all time time, that is so cool that the band has visited your church. How awesome is that!?

Your runner thought is so true, a friend and I just had a conversation of what a runner is supposed to look like, vs what they truly are.
I look forward to reading more!
