AlohA FriDaY!!!

In Hawaii,Aloha Friday,is the day they take it easy, and look forward to the weekend.
So I thought that on Fridays I would and take it easy on the posting,as they do in Hawaii! Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
Oh, and don't forget to click on the link anywhere that's highlighted and play along with Kailani and the rest of us!You will make some new bloggy friends too!!

My question for today is:

If there was a friend you hadn't seen in almost 30 years, would you go see him/or her?!?
I must add that you loved them very much,at one time~

I absolutely would! I have recently reconnected with a very good friend from 13 years ago and I am very much hoping to get together soon. Absolutely I would go! :)

Yes, I believe I would if it was easy enough to get to. Catching up with long lost friends would be fabulous.

Oooo... that one sounds dangerous! ;)
Why not? Unless the intentions are not good.. or there is another motive. Otherwise, just to catch up would be fun.

It would depend on so many factors, especially why we had not seen each other in 3 decades, how far I would have to travel, and why we are finally speaking and meeting up.

Hmmmm this sounds like there might be more to the story on this one.

I would call first (schedule reasons) and then make a date to meet!

Yes go visit! You never know.

Yes I would! Reconnecting is the best! Staying in touch is so hard, but once you get back together reminiscing is just such a hoot!

I would! It wasn't that long, but I went about 14 years without seeing a friend and when we reconnected, it's like those missing years didn't matter at all.

This actually happened to me and my answer is No, I wrote to him and talked on the phone, however I am happily married and need not travel back to past feelings, One must move on in life.

A complicated answer for a complicated situation - or so it could be. If it was to just reunite with a friend with no ulterior motives, then go ahead if the timing, traveling, etc. works. Could be an emotionally dangerous one though.

Probably not since I haven't gone looking on FB for any of them.

Have a great Friday!

hmmmm...that one is tough! I think yes, and no. It would depend on how my marriage was doing, how I felt about the other person now, and if that love feeling came back or at least the excitement of hearing from them.

I would if my husband was ok with it.

Absolutely. I'm in the process right now of trying to get back to my roots.

I graduated High School 35 years ago. Some of my friends from the are leaving these days for good. It's time to relive the old times.

Don't worry about the past flame. Life has changed for everyone involved. The flames will bring back the good memories, but both of you are no longer the people you were. As one of my old flames put it when we finally saw each other for the first time in 30 years, "Memories get longer as life gets shorter." Enjoy and rekindle the memories.

As long as meeting the old friend wouldn'y put pressure on any existing relationships, yes

NO! I'd have to take a pass. Bringing up old feelings can be dangerous especially if your in a secure relationship.

BUT on the other hand if your bringing your significant other with and they have one as well then YES I'd go

I just recently connected with a friend via Facebook and we've emailed and talked on the phone. I haven't seen her for 23 years and it was like we had never been apart. She lives in Ohio and I'm in Florida, but hopefully in June or July she and her family can visit.

It depends on what kind of friend--like an old boyfriend--I would say NO, but just a friend boy or girl, I would think that would be fun to reconnect

I guess it depends on who it is. I would be nice to catch up and see how she's doing.

It would depend I guess. I've reconnected w/ ppl from hs on fb - and I graduated gobs of years ago. lol. Not sure I'd go meet them in person but I'm kinda shy like that I guess. A lot fo ppl here seem to think the question was aimed at an old boyfriend being the person in question. That I prob wouldn't do, I mean what would the point be? lol.

Thanks for visiting my blog!
Take care and have a great weekend!

I'd rather regret seeing them than not seeing them.
